Response to The Prophet ... 2009

These are good guiding lights,
Whether from Prophet or parent.
But the path is our own to tread -
Replete with boulders and wildflowers,
Chirping birds and startling snakes,
Lotuses and lily pads,
Dragonflies and mosquitoes.
We take them in our own stride.

We thank all givers of advice –
The recipe is taken with a grain of salt
And a little spice to our own taste
For the concoction of our own Life
We cook not the stew to the point
That carrots and peas get all mashed up
But each of us keeps our identity
And we lead our lives together
