The second Teresa ... 2011

In this Season of Giving, who better to write about than the Giver amongst us?

She brings to life the Christian values of compassion and forgiveness. She believes that most errant acts are deserving of compassion than retribution, that there is an element of good in all of us that can be appealed to, and that everyone deserves chances to correct themselves and improve - that it is more often the environment that may be the real culprit.

President Lincoln said, "With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation's wounds." She brings Lincoln's thoughts to a personal level - to soothe the emotionally wounded by identifying with their agony, and "being there" for them, come what may. Putting others before herself - demonstrating selflessness in the true sense.

Like Christ, she feels for others, and has empathy for those in unfortunate circumstances. Her solace is valued by those in need of it, and they derive strength from her soothing words - words that are biased towards wisdom more than righteousness, towards actions leading to the light at the end of the tunnel.

And all this, while living as a lotus - emanating beauty and fragrance, and electrifying the environs with her positivity and laughter!

Beautiful description of my friend Rohini. I have never met you but love reading your loving comments on her pictures and your blog when I have the access to do so. Just make sure she remembers to call me or send me her land line and then I can call her!!!! I live in AUckland.
